--CopperCom today announced S&A Telephone Co. in Kansas will deploy a CopperCom Converged Switching eXchange (CSX(R)) next-generation switch as part of a major system upgrade. The deployment will simplify management of S&A’s network, and enable them to offer next-generation IP services, such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), in the future.

«Our network had multiple legacy switches, and the upkeep and management was getting to be extremely expensive and time consuming,» said Janet Bathurst, general manager, S&A Telephone Co. «The CopperCom CSX will simplify system management, ease upkeep costs significantly, and moves us to more current, state-of-the-art technology.»

S&A Telephone Co. provides local telephone service to the Kansas communities of Allen, Admire and Scranton. The company offers telephone service, long-distance service, and DSL.
