PIERRE, S.D. A program to put satellite phones in the hands of South Dakota soldiers overseas is taking off.
The original campaign encouraged state employees to donate a dollar or more to dress casual with the money going toward the purchase of satellite phones, cell phones and prepaid calling cards for Guard members. But the program has proved to be so popular that businesses have adopted the «casual Wednesday» effort, too, said Mark Johnston, press secretary to Gov. Mike Rounds.
