Whaleback Systems Announces Channel Distribution Strategy and Programs

   810 days 1 hour ago (12.09.2006 12:27)

-- Launches Whaleback Partner Program and Recruits Established Interconnect Companies to Sell the CrystalBlue Voice Service™ so SMBs can Benefit from the Economics, Functionality and Reliability of Broadband VoIP

Whaleback Systems™ today introduced the Whaleback Partner Program, a comprehensive channel program for interconnect companiesincluding resellers, VARs and System Integratorsto accelerate the distribution of Whaleback’s CrystalBlue Voice Service. As part of the announcement made at the Fall VON tradeshow, Whaleback also named the initial members of this program. Whaleback is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and is the first and only company that has created a full-functionality, premises-based IP PBX with Key System Unit functionality along with the necessary broadband-based telephony service infrastructureto offer a fully integrated, end-to-end broadband business telephony service for Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers.

«Channel partners can align with Whaleback to create added value in their offerings to their customers by offering small and medium businesses a premises-based managed broadband VoIP service,» said Mark Galvin, co-founder, president and CEO of Whaleback. «We offer a set of programs designed to appeal to a variety of qualified resellers, system integrators and VARs. Our unique business model creates a compelling business value to end customers while establishing a recurring monthly revenue stream, shortened sales cycle and low cost of entry for our partners.» By partnering with Whaleback, channel partners can:

-- Retain customer relationship and ownership by offering a fully managed VoIP service that frees customers from the limitations of IP Centrex services and the costs and hassles of internally managed IP PBX platforms. Channel partners can refresh their installed base of customers by offering a managed solution and they can address new markets with a reduced sales cycle.

-- Maintain hardware onsite so they can support moves, adds and changes for their customers.

-- Earn activation fees at the time of the sale by deploying the service.

-- Earn recurring monthly annuity payments for the life of each four-year customer contract.

Since Whaleback provides robust, 24X7 monitoring and management, channel partners can reduce their support costs and truck rolls and increase their profit while providing their customers with a highly reliable telephony service. Whaleback provides a Partner Demo Kit that allows channel partners to demonstrate the CrystalBlue Voice Service at their office. They can also leverage it as a portable demonstration that can be brought to the location of customers and prospects to show the call quality and ease of use of this managed service. Whaleback channel partners can also reduce their own telephony costs and are eligible for discounts on the CrystalBlue Voice Service.

«SMBs depend on trusted resellers, system integrators and VARs for reliable, easy-to-use solutions, and Whaleback offers a win-win-win solution,» said Galvin. «SMBs win by selecting a managed service that reduces their telephony costs and lets them take advantage of the economies of broadband cable or DSL connections--and the advanced features enabled by IP services. Our channel partners win because they no longer have to depend on IP PBX platforms offered by giant equipment manufacturers that were designed for large enterprises and stripped down to address the SMB market, and Whaleback benefits by reducing the costs of our business model by trusting our channel partners to offer CrystalBlue as a long-term telephony solutions for SMBs.»

Partners Enthusiastic About the CrystalBlue Voice Service

Whaleback channel partners are compensated for initial installation of the CrystalBlue Voice Service, and they receive ongoing revenue streams for the life of the customer contract. Since Whaleback provides robust 24x7 monitoring, channel partners can offer their customers and prospects reliable VoIP services delivered over cable or DSL networks.

According to Gus DiPopolo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Quality Communications, «We like the concept of a premises-based VoIP service because typical small and medium businesses can easily identify the value it offers. We are partnering with Whaleback because CrystalBlue is a unique premises-based, managed service. It allows us to deliver high value to our customers and provides a recurring revenue stream that functions like an annuity for our business.»

Stephen Mannarino, President of AmeriCom Voice and Data, said, «Whaleback has a voice solution that clearly meets the needs of the SMB market. The CrystalBlue Voice Service delivers strong voice functionality to our customers and it reduces costs for us and for our customers. As a managed service, CrystalBlue helps us eliminate the need to roll trucks to support our customers, and it allows our customers to take advantage of the economics and features of broadband voice.»

Comprehensive Signs Contract to Offer Discount Rx Cards to 10 Million Potential Users

   1154 days 21 hours ago (05.10.2005 15:31)

Comprehensive HealthCare Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with A-1 Printing of Brooklyn, NY. A-1 Printing, one of the largest privately owned producers of prepaid telephone cards, prints approximately 100 million such cards per year.

The agreement authorizes A-1 Printing to attach Comprehensive’s discount prescription card -- as a free gift -- to approximately 10 million prepaid telephone cards distributed throughout the United States. The majority of prepaid telephone cards sold are used by people residing in the United States who still have family and friends in their countries of origin. A-1 Printing currently produces prepaid phone cards in a variety of foreign languages, marketing to individuals from such areas as Latin America, India, Pakistan, the Caribbean, and various other countries.

Paul Rothman, President of Comprehensive HealthCare Solutions, Inc. said, «We believe that this business alliance offers us the opportunity to put our competitive discount prescription card in the hands of ten million potential users, a vast majority of whom we believe are in large part either uninsured, underinsured or have no Rx coverage whatsoever. We believe that this could translate to a fairly high utilization rate and, in turn, would result in a potentially lucrative revenue stream that was not part of the Company’s original business model. This, added to our other contracts, makes our projected revenue growth for fiscal 2006–2007 look even brighter.»

Mr. David Kaufman, Owner of A-1 Printing said, «This business arrangement, offering Comprehensive’s free discount Rx card, will both greatly enhance vendor and customer loyalty and help increase our business. People today need to have a mechanism to buy their prescriptions on a less costly basis.»

Phone Card Company Breaks One Billion Minutes Voice Traffic Milestone

   1154 days 22 hours ago (02.10.2005 15:21)

Sydney: Friday September 30: Cardcall Pty Ltd (www.cardcall.com.au) , Australia largest phone card distributor with monthly sales of over $7 million, announced today that it had reached — and surpassed — a 1 billion minute milestone in voice traffic within last 12 months.

Cardcall is the Phone Card division of fast growing Australian Broadband and VoIP provider Telecorp Limited.

«This impressive milestone was reached in August this year and covers the period to Sept 2005,» a delighted Telecorp CEO Steve Picton said today. «It is even more pleasing when you consider that only Cardcall products within Australia have been included and not New Zealand where we launched recently and already have a significant market share.»

«The total number of voice traffic minutes was 1,025,722,859 as at September 15 this year,» Mr. Picton said, «and we are growing at around 30% a year.»

Telecorp Limited recently announced it will link its just launched VoIP Internet phone service, GOTalk Broadband Voice, with its market leading Cardcall pre and post paid phone card range enabling home phone users — especially those with phone addicted teenage children — to access rates 30–50% below standard Telstra phone charges.

Telecorp is the only phone company in Australia which currently offers both phone cards and VoIP Internet phones as part of its range of services – and therefore is the only company that can link both. It can also bundle its Broadband and VoIP services onto a single invoice.

Media interviews can be arranged by contacting Terry Quinn on 0439 710 418 or or go to www.gotalk.com.au

Stephen Picton CEO Telecorp Limited PROFILE:

Prior to forming TELECORP LIMITED with high profile Chairman Trevor Rowe, (also Rothschild Chairman, ASX Director and Chancellor of Bond University), Mr Stephen Picton, was Group Director, Strategic Development, AAPT. During his years with AAPT Mr Picton was responsible for the overall Strategic Development of AAPT since joining as Director of Marketing in 1996. During that period he oversaw a number of key initiatives, such as AAPT’s entry into the Wholesale market, the development of a broad-based product portfolio and the rebranding of the company. He also managed AAPT’s IPO process and the many acquisitions and alliances carried out by AAPT in areas such as data, Internet, satellite, mobile and voice services. Prior to joining AAPT, Mr Picton spent 9 years with BT (British Telecom) in a variety of Sales & Business Development roles at a senior executive level.

CardCall is Australia’s most successful pre and post paid phone card operator, selling in excess of 300,000 new phone cards worth more than $7 million each month to the mainly youth/student/traveller and ethnic markets via 30,000 retailers (including $2million a month from free standing eftpos kiosks, mostly on university campuses) — and is growing at over 30% a year.

   1452 days 2 hours ago (24.11.2004 00:42)

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (MARKET WIRE) City Network, Inc. (AMEX: CSN) a company that designs, manufactures and markets a comprehensive line of broadband and wireless Internet access solutions and consumer electronic products, announced today that it has obtained a new project with Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (NYSE: CHT), Taiwan’s largest telecommunications company listed as an ADR on the NYSE.

City Network successfully obtained an important business contract via an open bid process amongst competition from several very well-established and highly qualified local market competitors. The winning of the contract represents the largest of a series of orders City Network has obtained from the local telecom giant. The total value of this current contract is nearly US$1,000,000.

The agreement provides that City Network will supply a series of products from both Sun Microsystems and software developed by Oracle including two high capacity high-end servers, five middle range servers, twenty smaller servers and arrays of RAID storage peripherals for the servers as well as one related database software packages. Engineers from City Network will oversee the installation, management and maintenance of the project equipment with each of the products being sold to Chunghwa Telecom scheduled to be delivered by the end of December 2004.

«We see the winning of this most recent bid and contract as a milestone for our company,» commented City Network Chairman Andy Lai, «the project represents the largest to date of our business dealings with Chunghwa Telecom and, we believe, represents proof of the success of City Network’s sales and engineering teams.»

City Network took part in a countrywide open bid competition in order to participate in this infrastructure project. There were more than a half dozen direct competitors who were involved in the two month process of selection and qualification which culminated in last week’s bidding activities, but City Network was able to successfully bid the most competitive price, and therefore obtained the contract. In order to obtain the contract, City Network also passed a series of strict evaluation procedures established by Chunghwa Telecom’s project evaluation team. Therefore, the Company was able to offer the lowest cost as well as high quality to the customer.

The project, which Chunghwa Telecom has named the HiNet Domain Name Service Infrastructure System, is a sub-project of Chunghwa’s Internet Information Applications Service Program. This program is being developed to provide infrastructure equipment and database software to support Chunghwa Telecom’s ISP business and to continue to meet the growth needs of its internet broadband client base. The goal of the project is to continue to strengthen and improve the quality of Chunghwa Telecom’s previously existing HiNet Domain Name Service (DNS), which is one of the overall services provided by HiNet. Other services of Chunghwa’s HiNet include E-mail services, Anonymous FTP, virtual hosting, WebHD, SMS/MMS/SyncML, multi-media, and other applications including e-business services.
