ATLANTA — BellSouth will begin offering satellite television today as part of a bundle of services including long-distance, Internet and cell phone plans.
The Atlanta-based telecommunications company is partnering with DirecTV.

The plan calls for BellSouth and DirecTV to discount their products when sold as part of a bundle of services. BellSouth will sell the package and schedule installation of DirecTV for their customers, who will be able to pay for all of the services with one monthly bill.

With the new package, BellSouth customers ‘‘can hit a grand slam by ordering all of their communications and entertainment services from one company,’’ BellSouth President Jan Funderburg said in a written statement.

A BellSouth statement said customers can save up to $10 when they add DirecTV to their package of services. Adding the satellite service on more than one television would cost extra.
