World Phone Internet Services Pvt Ltd, an
internet service provider, has formed a strategic alliance with online portal Rediff.com to distribute its voice over internet protocol (VOIP)
calling cards, World Phone Premium. Under the deal, Rediff would sell World Phones calling cards through its site, with options, including pay cash on delivery or by credit card, it said.
World Phone has announced a
tie-up with Rediff.com, to make its VoIP
international calling cards, World Phone Premium, available to users at their doorsteps.
As per the agreement Rediff will make World Phones VoIP calling card – World Phone Premium – available to its visitors on its site. The World Phone Premium will be available in denominations of Rs.250, Rs. 500 and Rs.1000. A user can order by logging on to rediff.com. The card would then be delivered directly to the users home without any extra delivery charges. Buyers can either pay cash-on-delivery or through credit card.
Aditya Ahluwalia, Chairman, World Phone, said «Our association with Rediff will enable us to reach out to potential customers in smaller towns and provide them with quality international calling experience.» «With this tie up we will definitely broaden our reach and be able to cater to our customers in every big or small town,» added Ahluwalia.
Currently, World Phone Premium cards are available in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Shimla, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Ludhiana, Baroda, Pune, Surat etc. World Phone sells these cards through its distributors in these cities. World Phone is in talks with distributors and retail chains in different states to expand its physical reach to end users in the far-flung areas of the country.
